Dr. Lucy McShane

Dr. Lucy graduated from UCD, Dublin in 1982. She completed her GP training in the UK and worked there as a GP for six years. She has been practicing in North Vancouver since 1997. Since joining the Delbrook team, Lucy enjoys working alongside younger physicians who bring fresh ideas and help her stay up to date. She loves all aspects of family medicine and feels fortunate to have cared for many patients for several years. Outside of work, Lucy enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Dr. Sarah Abdoulraman

UPDATE SEPT 1, 2025 – Dr Sarah is currently on maternity leave.

After completing her undergraduate studies at UBC, Dr. Sarah moved to Ireland in 2011 to study family medicine. She graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2016, followed by five years of postgraduate training, including rotations in large multidisciplinary hospitals and rural family practices. She returned to Vancouver in 2021 and joined Delbrook Medical Group Clinic in May 2024.

Dr. Leila Abdoulraman

Dr. Leila completed her undergraduate studies at UBC before heading to Ireland in 2011 to study medicine. She graduated from University College Cork in 2016 and completed five years of training in both large multi-disciplinary hospitals and rural family practices. Leila returned to Vancouver in 2022 and joined the Delbrook team in May 2025.

UPDATE: MARCH 2026

Due to returning from maternity leave early, Dr Leila
is now taking time off. This leave began in late-February, with a return date not earlier than April 7^th. However, she has organised limited locum coverage during this time: Dr Tommy Finucane is currently taking on patients and has availability, while we have a permanent female locum in the
clinic one day per week.

Dr. Nick Philippson

Dr. Nick was raised on the West Coast of Canada. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of British Columbia, then moved to the UK for medical school. He met his wife while abroad, and together they enjoy traveling, skiing, hiking, and boating. Nick is passionate about integrating his love of the outdoors into his medical practice.

Dr. Kathleen Alexander

Dr. Kathleen has joined Delbrook Medical Group Clinic as a permanent locum, providing care to patients across the clinic. She graduated from the UBC School of Medicine in 1985 and has practiced family medicine on the North Shore for over 35 years. She is a staff member at Lions Gate Hospital, part of the Division of Family Practice, and holds a Clinical Faculty appointment at the UBC School of Medicine, where she teaches first- and second-year medical students. Outside the clinic, she enjoys watercolour painting, gardening, and spending time with her two grown children.

Dr. Saira Alladina

With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Saira specializes in menopause care and hormonal health. Her holistic, patient-centered approach combines traditional and natural treatments to help women navigate the physical and emotional changes of menopause. Whether through personalized hormone replacement therapy (HRT), lifestyle recommendations, or non-hormonal options, her approach is rooted in empathy and a deep commitment to women’s wellness.

Dr. Amy Liu

Dr. Liu graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, OK, USA. She completed her family medicine residency training in Pennsylvania and practiced in the US for 5 years prior to starting her practice here in North Vancouver, BC. She sees patients of all ages and from all walks of life, and enjoys the opportunity to form positive, collaborative relationships with her patients. Outside of work, she is grateful to spend time in the great outdoors with her friends and family.

Dr. Tommy Finucane

Tommy studied Medicine University College Cork and graduated in 2017. He completed the Irish College of General Practitioners Training in 2024. He has a previous bachelors degree in Physiotherapy from University of Limerick. Graduated in 2009. Recently moved from Ireland with his wife and 3 children.

Dr. Finola Lynch

Dr Finola was a family doctor and medical director in rural Shropshire in the UK before she emigrated to Vancouver in 2022, though her first degree was in English Language and Literature. She enjoys all aspects of family practice but she’s particularly passionate about elderly care. She has two boys who are thriving in their new home in North Vancouver. Outside of medicine Finola loves music of all genres and loves going to concerts. She keeps threatening to start playing the cello again.
